Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients

For Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cloves of Garlic minced
  • 2 cups of parmesan cheese shredded
  • ½ cup of munster cheese shredded
  • ½ cup of cream cheese at room temp
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Pasta

  • Boxed Pasta of your choice
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Little bit of olive oil

For Chicken

  • 1 medium sized chicken breast
  • Garlic Herb Salt recipe coming soon!
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  • Combine the cream and butter in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat
  • Add the garlic and simmer for 1 minute
  • Turn the heat down to low and add your cheeses, once most of the cheese is mostly melted, take off heat
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and set aside
  • In a large pot boil 1-2 quarts of water and a generous amount of salt depending on the amount of pasta you plan on serving
  • Add pasta and boil until the pasta is slightly undercooked (al dente)
  • Strain the pasta but save 1 cup of the pasta water
  • Add a bit of olive oil to the cooked pasta set aside
  • Heat a medium sized pan to medium high heat on your stove top and pre-heat your oven to 350F
  • While to pan and oven are heating up, season the chicken breast with the garlic herb salt and lather with olive oil
  • Add the seasoned chicken breast to the pan and sear both sides until brown
  • Turn off the heat of your stove top, and roast the chicken in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until the internal temperature is 160F
  • Let the cooked chicken breast rest for 2-3 minutes and slice to desired size
  • In a large pot combine pasta, sauce, and sliced chicken to together and add pepper to taste
  • Enjoy!
